ThunderTomate pedals are handcrafted in small batches and offered directly. A selection of models is also usually available at Thunderguitars (Gijón) and Aliaga Guitar Lab (Madrid).
OVER-DRIVE+ rev G
The Overdrive+ is one of the original ThunderTomate designs, first introduced in the early 2000s.
Revisited today, it remains a straightforward analog overdrive focused on clarity and musical breakup. Each unit is handcrafted, assembled, tested, and fine-tuned individually.
The pedal features Level, Tone, and Drive controls, along with a Voice switch offering three different responses:
- STK – the standard voice of the pedal, delivering a balanced and familiar overdrive character suitable for most situations.
- BRT – a brighter response that adds presence and clarity, useful for darker amplifiers or humbucker-equipped instruments.
- FL – a more open and dynamic mode. At lower drive settings it works especially well as a clean or lightly colored booster, preserving articulation and headroom.
The Overdrive+ is housed in a Hammond enclosure and built with Switchcraft jacks, Alpha potentiometers and footswitch, and 24 AWG AlphaWire for all internal wiring.
